Features the original 11 track album which successfully combined music from UK psychobilly scene leaders The Meteors, The Sting-Rays and The Guana Batz, US pioneers Panther Burns, Irish punks The Outcasts, gothabilly rockers Alien Sex Fiend and even horror rocker Screaming Lord Sutch to create a suitably psychotic blend.

Plus - in this new "Even Bloodier Edition" - a further 45 rockin' and wreckin' cuts from the movement's instigators The Cramps, fellow American exponents The Gun Club, the UK's infamous King Kurt, early recordings by psychobilly heroes Frenzy, Restless and The Krewmen, garage trash from The Milkshakes and The Prisoners, amongst others. Rarities include tracks from America's Grant And The Geezers and Sweden's The Voodoo Dolls.

Psychobilly was one of the biggest youth cults of the 1980s, remembered for the followers' gravity-defying quiffs and aggressive "wrecking" dance. The music became an adrenalized mix of rockabilly and punk featuring lyrics often inspired by horror and science fiction films. Many of the groups included here, including Alien Sex Fiend, played The Klub Foot at The Clarendon Hotel Ballroom in Hammersmith, London which opened in 1982 and soon became the psychobilly scene's focal point, closing in 1988 when the venue was knocked down.

Now with the bonus tracks - it's even more so! We were set on fire by The Cramps after hearing the album 'Songs The Lord Taught Us' and seeing them at The Venue, London in April 1980, so 'Goo Goo Muck' from their 'Psychedelic Jungle' album is a great addition. Later, we got hold of the Gun Club's 1st album "Fire Of Love" (1981) on import - their "Preaching The Blues" is rightly included here and we supported them at The Lyceum, London in '83. Both these bands in part contributed to the mutant sounds we - as ASF - came out with! King Kurt were contemporaries of ours, we followed each other around on UK tours.... we'd turn up at a venue and either they'd played last week or they were due there the following week or vice versa... Then there's The Vibrators - Nik knows John Ellis from way back and Knox was known to turn up at The Batcave now and then - and our ol' mate Derek sported one of those psychobilly "gravity-defying quiffs" - which involved a whole can of hairspray to cement together! Mad times... !

It's a cool looking package too, with some memorabilia of those days in the accompanying booklet. It's a great trip dahn memory lane for those that were around in the early 1980s... and if you weren't there in person then this will be an historical musical experience for ya!

Channelling goth, 'positive punk' and industrial, Alien Sex Fiend are experimental pioneers whose output defies easy categorisation. Formed at London's goth epicentre, the Batcave, in 1982, the Fiends' early use of loops, synth sheens and a dub sensibility yielded a deal with Anagram and rapid chart success. This dynamite vinyl compilation, exclusive to Radiation Records, draws from six early singles, including the electrode mix of popular debut 'Ignore the Machine', freaky dirge 'Lips Can't Go', minimalist stomper 'Dead And Buried', the rocking excess of 'R.I.P.', intergalactic 'E.S.T.' and the mutant disco of 'I'm Doing Time.' A killer set tracking their early evolution, this is absolutely essential listening for all ASF fans.

It's great that a record company based in Italy wanted to put these tracks out on vinyl as an LP. The tracks are in a random order, so it'll catch you by surprise! It's a good looking package too in white vinyl with a black splatter effect, and it's cool that Radiation Records have included the songs 'Drive My Rocket (Up Uranus)' and 'Gurl At The End Of My Gun' in particular 'cos they've been missed off various compilations before... AND it's on VINYL!

And as for the track titles - Yup we know that "Girl" should be spelt "Gurl" and that "Twilight" is missing from the "I'm Doing Time... " title, but that's nowt to do with us, guv'nor!!

A 28 track, double CD collection of rare mixes, remixes and B- sides taken from Alien Sex Fiend's 12 inch singles dating from 1983 to 1995.

Sourced from the Anagram Records' archives, this collection included tracks that had not been available since their original release, some appearing on CD for the first time, such as 'I'm Doing Time In A Maximum Security Twilight Home (Football Mix)' and 'Dead And Buried (12" version)' and an alternate version of 'In And Out Of My Mind'.

The 16 page CD booklet features a full UK discography with accompanying front covers, sleeve notes and some of the rare 12 inch record sleeves that have long since been deleted. Includes a version of every one of the band's Anagram 12" singles, all 17 of them!

Of further interest, on Disc 1, track 5 'R.I.P. (Blue Crumb Truck)' is the song that inspired the name of the official Alien Sex Fiend online store Blue Crumb Truck!

Disc 1, Track 9 - "E.S.T" is listed as the 12" version on the back of the CD, though in reality it is the ELEVEN inch version!
Disc 1, Track 11 - "In And Out Of My Mind" should be listed as (Version), it is from the B-side of the "I'm Doing Time... " 12 inch single and is different to the "Maximum Security" album version.
Disc 2, Track 10 and Track 14 - both mixes are by Youth.
